PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Hello again members. It has been a little difficult to keep golf club grips dry recently. The upside to all this rain is that it really makes the grass grow. If you have been in the rough at all you can testify to that. I, of course, have not been in the rough so I have to rely on my playing partners for information.

Our financial picture looks pretty darn good so far this season. Memberships are strong and it does appear that we will make our budget target or very close to it. June green fees are down but that is a weather driven issue. Scuba gear and golf swings do not mesh well together. All in all, things look good.

We recently upgraded the sound system in the clubhouse. We will be putting in some window treatments as well. This is all part of the acoustic/sound improvement effort . We will continue to try to improve this situation in stages. I know how frustrating it is to attempt to hear conversation when groups are in the clubhouse. Stay tuned.

We are pondering the practice facility project plans. The Long Range Planning committee met recently to discuss this and other issues. The Board will be looking at this as well and we will hopefully have a decision and a solid plan soon. I personally think it would be a very positive improvement to the overall golf operation. The practice facility will be much more useful to members if we can improve it. The labor costs and the wear and tear on equipment will be significantly reduced as well.

Please let me know if you have any issues or items of concern. Contact me via e-mail at shagenah@paulbunyan.net or by phone at 444-3462.

Thanks for all your support and trust.
