NEWS FROM THE OFFICE:
Summer is now in full swing and we hope you are all enjoying the golf season! Below you will find some updates for menu service, news, events, and course maintenance.
Remembering Bob O'Neil
Bob O'Neil passed away on June 7th, 2015. His family will be visiting Bemidji from July 12th – July 19th. They are hosting a get-together at Ruttger's Birchmont Lodge on the evening of Tuesday, July 14th for friends to share in their memories of Bob from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Hors d'oeurves and cash bar service will be available.
NEWS FROM THE CLUBHOUSE:
The North Shore Grille will be closed or have limited seating available to the public on the following days due to scheduled events.

THE 17TH ANNUAL MEMBER CLASSIC
This is a reminder that our 17th Annual Member Classic is this Sunday, July 12th, with a 12:30 PM Shotgun. The format is two person best-ball with 90% handicap.
Sign up as a two person team and the proshop will pair you with another team. Your $40 entry per player includes great prizes and a wonderful dinner in the clubhouse following golf. Please call the proshop to sign up. This event is limited to the first 40 teams.
Next Friday, July 17th, is the Bemidji State University-Galen Nagle Golf Tournament. The golf course is open for nine hole play until 9:30am. Twilight golf is available at approximately 6:00pm.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The 91st Annual Birchmont Golf Tournament needs your help! We are looking for volunteers for several positions throughout the week. There is a sign-up sheet in the proshop or give them a call at 751-9215 and volunteer your time. Remember, you make this club a great place.
NEWS FROM THE GOLF COURSE:
We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the greens on Monday, July 13th, and Tuesday, July 14th; closing nine holes one day and nine holes the following day. The nine holes we are working on will be closed and will reopen at a time when the process has been successfully completed.
More information regarding this maintenance will be sent in a separate newsletter. We appreciate your patience allowing us to complete the necessary maintenance practice all for the best conditions we are striving to achieve.
