From The President
Hello members, we are running out of golf days rapidly. I almost had to call the "leaf rule" on a putting green the other day. A giant leaf covered my golf ball and it took awhile to locate it.
We are in the process of finalizing plans for the practice facility project. The process will be to minimize disruption while expediting the progress. It is a good trick if we can accomplish it. Our superintendent, Tom Johanns, will be meeting with Eric Niskanen and the Long Range Planning committee this week to examine plans and create a timetable for the project. Stay tuned for developments.
I had an opportunity to play in the Triple event this weekend. What fun! The format was great. I felt sorry for my poor partner, Jay Wilimek, I put him in some strange locations during the alternate shot portion of the event. He may need psychotherapy to recover.
We had a very good financial year all in all. Both the clubhouse and the course did just fine. The course was in wonderful playing condition all year in spite of the very dry part of the summer. I wish to thank our staff for all the hard work they did throughout the year. It is always a pleasure to play BTCC and then enjoy the comfortable surrounds of our clubhouse. Simply put, this is a great place to be.
Please be sure to attend the annual meeting on October 18th. Your vote and your thoughts and concerns are very important. We need each and every one of you to continue to support BTCC. In my humble opinion, the future of our club looks bright but it depends on us to make it happen. This place is not on autopilot.
