PRESIDENTS REPORT
Dear Members,
Well, the process of putting our clubhouse back together again has begun! Naturally, those unexpected "surprises" that one runs into on a remodel of this magnitude have shown up. Our biggest concern at this point is structural. Once we have all the new posts and beams in place, things should come together at a more noticeable rate.
I tell you this not to alarm you, but to keep you informed. We still anticipate costs to stay within projection, but probably at the high end.
As I think everyone understands, this project is the result of a number of code violations that needed to be addressed. If anyone had any doubts as to whether or not the kitchen improvements were really necessary, I can assure you without a doubt that it should have been dealt with a long time ago. Also, I am sure that all of us realize the need for the upstairs restrooms.
I've been asked if we are trying to make our club a "fine dining" restaurant. The answer I've given is, "In reality we are remodeling with the idea of being able to accommodate the same large groups (Thursday afternoon, Skaar, High School Fundraiser, weddings etc.) that our current demand calls for."
Once again I would like to thank all of the members for showing us your support and encouragement. This is a large undertaking and we are hopeful you are satisfied with the result.
Sincerely,
Scott Curb-President

Women's Locker Room Fundraising Update       We would like to start with a BIG THANK YOU to the members and businesses that have generously made contributions toward the improvements at the Bemidji Town and Country Club/Women's Locker Room. To date, we have collected $10,849.00 and will continue to fundraise to help defray the many costs of this remodel project. The women's locker room will start with 28 half-sized oak lockers, with possible space to expand if needed. Currently 15 lockers have been purchased through donations. If you have not yet donated but plan to, please contact Rosy Drahos-444-2998; Sylvia Wildgen-751-1510; Margo Curb-Aitken-759-1895. Or, mail your check to Sylvia at Security BankUSA , P.O. Box 1630, Bemidji, MN, 56601. Once again, THANK YOU for your support in our efforts to maintain and enhance one of Northern Minnesota's finest golf courses and amenities. Just remember, no amount is too little or too big. All will be appreciated.
      Fundraising Gurus,
Rosy, Sylvia, Margo
