PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Well, we asked for hot weather and now we're sweltering in the heat, from one extreme to the other.
It's nice to see all the new faces and old ones using the clubhouse for dinner and events.
I think everybody should know by now about the parking requirement. Please use the parking lot because we have been informed by Northern Township that any cars parked on Country Club Road will be ticketed and possibly towed. This takes effect July 1 and the fine is $100.
Don't forget to sign up for the "Member Classic". Our third Annual is being held July 14th.

EMAIL
I have sent out a few emails to our members this season. Some of these messages have been returned to me because of invalid email address. If you have not been receiving these emails, please visit our member site (members.bemidjigolf.com) and add your email to our list. Sometimes it is difficult to read the email address on the membership form and the email address needs to be exact for a successful transmission.

THE BIRCHMONT
Our 77th Annual Birchmont is only a couple of weeks away. This year's tournament will be held Monday-Saturday, July 23-28. The entry fee for members is reduced to $105.00 for championship divisions and $90.00 for other flights. Detailed information can be found on our website at:

OLDS SCRAMBLE UPDATE
I want to thank Buster Spaulding and Tim Hins from Spaulding Motors for their continued support of our Annual Oldsmobile Scramble.
Our event was held on Saturday, June 23 with a very good turnout of 80 players. Two teams will be advancing to the regional event with a chance to make it to the Nationals at Disney World this fall. The team of Jim Daman, Tom Daman, Dave Morris and Mel Johnson captured low gross honors while the team of Gary Johnson, Lindsay Johnson, Pete Flaa and Tom Conzemius were crowned our low net winners. Congratulations to both teams! These teams will join Rick and myself at Deacons Lodge on August 14th.

LADIES DIVISION
Our ladies league will again be sponsoring the "Rally for a cure" (breast cancer). We will hold this event on Mon. July 9th. and again on Wed. July 11. The cost is $15 which goes to a very good cause so let's have a good turnout.
If anyone has any information on the location of our history journal please let a board member know. We have an item which should go in the journal.
It's not too early to start thinking about replacing the 4 board members that will be leaving at the end of the summer. Any volunteers should contact a board member now.
Our member/guest tournament that will be held on Aug. 1 will be a two-lady scramble. You may select from our club if you wish as long as they are not a league member. The cost is $20 for club members and $30 for non-members. You must pay in advance in the pro-shop and the dead-line is July 18!! We are also asking each league member to contribute a $5 door prize (mandatory) and you may leave these in the pro-shop to be picked up or give them to Pam or Betty. The door prizes also must be in by July 18!!
Remember to call into the pro-shop if you are canceling and while you putt keep your carts at least 30 feet to the side or back of the green.
Remember - You don't hit anything with your backswing, so don't rush it!
