Bemidji Town & Country Club Online Newsletter - 03/12/07

Hi fellow members of BTCC. Are you suffering from cabin fever due to the inability to play golf during the winter? Or, are you one of the lucky members who travel to warmer climes for golf and fun in the sun! Well, our wait is almost over. Based on previous years opening dates, we have approximately one month to go before BTCC will be open for play. As usual, we will announce the opening day based on recommendations from our professional superintendent, Tom Johanns.

At this time, it is appropriate to announce that we have a change in the clubhouse management. Gretchen Fjerstad has decided to leave us after many years of service at BTCC. Gretchen has decided to pursue her lifelong dream of owning and managing her own dining establishment. Thank you Gretchen for all those dedicated years, you will be missed! We all wish you the very best with your new business endeavor.

Our new clubhouse manager is Brent Knutson. Brent is originally from Moorhead, Minnesota and was employed at the Wayzata Country Club before we recruited him.

I happened to be on vacation during the search and interview process for our new clubhouse manager. Since my return to the frozen North, I have met with Brent and I am very impressed with the choice our clubhouse committee made. Be sure to take the time to introduce yourself to Brent when you are out at the club. Welcome Brent!

Dear BT & CC members,

I would like to personally thank you for all your support the last 14 years. In order to obtain my personal goals in life, I am moving on from my position here at the club. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving in my position at the BT & CC and working with each and everyone of you.

Thank you again, and I hope to see you at The Cattails Bar & Grill.
