GREENS COMMITTEE UPDATE
As some of you know, we are having problems with our well/pump system. We have replaced the pump and motor. The system is still giving us some difficulties. It is sucking up sand and gravel and this causes problems in the watering system. Tom is working feverishly to alleviate the problem. We will be having some diagnostic work done in the next week. Hopefully, we can identify the source of the problem and take steps to remedy it. It does get expensive but I've been told we need water to grow grass.
Here is an update on the various course projects. There will be benches at both men's and women's tee boxes as requested. We will place seed mix boxes on the women's tee as needed. The tree on the right front of #3 women's tee have been removed. This should open up the fairway somewhat. The tree on #14 has been removed. The hanging branch over the blue tee at #18 has been removed. Some blacktop patching at #16 has been done. We are planning to do some serious cart path repair as the year wears on. We plan on going ahead with the #13 tee box project to make in a two tiered tee box. We also plan on going ahead with enlarging the #2 blue tee box. We will be planting lilacs at the fence that runs behind # 3 tee box to behind #18 tee box. That will spruce up the perimeter of the course and keep the people driving by from beeping their horns at us as we hit our tee shots.
We are holding off on other work until we figure out our water system problem. There is no point in adding water requirements to an already problematic delivery system. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed.
If you have questions or comments please contact Greens Chair Steve Hagenah at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 444-3462.

STATEMENTS FOR PENNIES
I've had a few comments again this spring wondering why we mail out statements when the balance is only a penny. Our policy is to mail you a statement whenever their are transactions during the month. This way you can see all of your activity. If the balance is less than $1.00 you should see a stamp on your statement that says "For Information Only, do not pay". Remember that you can pay your statement balance online at our members website at: members.bemidjigolf.com
We are now posting on our website a list of all the new members for this year. We welcome you! This list is updated periodically.
