Some good news Wednesday from Governor Walz; although we all hoped restaurants would open on June 1st, at least we will have the ability to offer outdoor dining on the deck and patio areas at Bemidji Town & Country Club, beginning June 1st.
Unfortunately, we have received other information that will impact food and beverage sales for the next 10 days. I have seen a copy of a letter received by other regional golf courses and local businesses. This letter outlines a change from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement. While we have not received the notice, we expect it is coming and it is apparent that we must abide by the decision.
Effective immediately, no alcohol sales will be allowed on the golf course at Bemidji Town & Country Club. We will continue to offer sales of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
It has been great seeing all the activity on the golf course over the last month. Thank you again for the patience and flexibility you have shown. Please continue to follow all COVID-19 guidelines. The pro shop is now open for retail sales, we will still limit the number of customers in the shop; and ask that you wait if someone else is at the counter.
If you have any questions regarding online tee time reservations, bill payment, GHIN handicap posting, or any other difficulties you may be having, our staff is here and ready to assist.
I have had many ask when services such as club storage and locker room access will be allowed. I will continue to gather information and update you over the next week.
