GREENS COMMITTEE UPDATE
Hello golfers. Here is a little update from the Green's Committee. We now have a new flagpole and flag. We felt it appropriate to display the stars and stripes once again. Our old flagpole was taken down and was in bad shape. The #2 blue tee is complete and looks pretty good. The #17 red tee is ready for sod and should be nice and level now. We will be working on the #13 tee next.
The speed of the greens should meet with your approval. They are putting true and are nice and quick. So far, 40 dead and diseased oaks have been taken down. In the fall we will be planting new trees in hopes of filling in the empty spaces. It sure looks barren up there without the oaks. The plantings will most likely be with red pine and spruce.
This week I repaired about a zillion ball marks on the greens and replaced lots of other folks divots in the fairways. Please, please repair ball marks and replace divots. There is no excuse for not taking care of our course.
Thank you !

EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL
Remember that if you post scores for handicap purposes you MUST use the Equitable Stroke Control - "ESC" system to adjust individual scores. ESC sets a maximum number that a player can post on any hole depending on the player's Course Handicap. ESC is used only when a player's actual or most likely score exceeds his maximum number based on the table below but is applied to all scores for handicap purposes, including tournament scores. There is no limit to the number of holes on which a player may adjust his score.
