From the Superintendent

Course Construction

On behalf of the management of BTCC I would like to thank our members and guests for their patience with the disruption our bunker remodel has caused. At this time holes 5, 8, 10, 11, 6, and 9 are complete. Holes 14, 15, 16, 17, 2, 3, and 18 need bunker work and new irrigation. Holes 1, 4, and 7 need only irrigation work. It is the goal of all parties involved to have this project completed within the next two weeks. I have received a number of favorable comments on the design and look of our new bunkers, keep in mind when complete we will be playing out of the best bunker sand available.

Fall Maintenance for the month of September
  • Core aerification of tees and fairways
  • Herbicide application in rough fairways tee and green complexes
  • Aerification and repair of construction damaged areas
  • Greens venting and topdressing the same process as in July and August
  • Front 9 Monday September 22
  • Back 9 Tuesday September 23
All of the practices above have to be performed on sunny dry days. I will communicate with the pro shop as to what we are going to be doing on each day. With these practices there is some mess and disruption involved. As always I will complete the work in a timely and efficient manner.
